Can the City do better when it comes to clearing for bicycles in winter? It certainly can, and it might be encouraged to pick up the pace at improving conditions for residents after a Supreme Court ruling was recently handed down stating that municipalities are liable for the negligence of winter maintenance.

New Pretoria Avenue bicycle facilities: 2022
Bike Ottawa recently sent the City feedback on designs for Pretoria Avenue in the Glebe. As their website on the project describes, the City will be replacing aging sewer infrastructure in summer 2022. And as is increasingly their practice, they are planning to make improvements to the project area for people walking and biking.
