It took a a couple of years longer than planned but the bridge is finally open. Judging by the large turnout (an estimated 300 cyclists and pedestrians) the bridge is going to be popular.

Since 2000, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities has celebrated best practices in sustainable community development through its annual Sustainable Community Awards. The Awards are open to all Canadian municipal governments and their private-sector partners. FCM’s Green Municipal Fund is the primary sponsor of the Awards.

It’s that time of year again. The clocks are turned back and now it is dark before 5pm. By the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, all cyclists must have a front light and rear reflector.
