worried about April’s carbon tax increase?

Ride a bike! For every 5 km ride I take by bike instead of driving a car, I prevent little over 1 kg of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere. I’m not paying the carbon tax because I’m not buying gas. And I’ll get my Canada Carbon Rebate, so I’ll come out ahead financially.

More than half of all daily trips are under 5 kilometres. It takes only 20 minutes to cover that distance, even at my slow speed.

As a bonus, it’s easy to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work, and I can get some fresh air and exercise along the way.
