Ottawa’s VeloVogue, known mostly for the great photography of everyday cyclists in everyday clothes, is organising the third annual Ottawa VeloVogue Plaid Parade. It has become something of a not to be missed thing, and even if you are not cycling it is fun to see so many people gathering in plaid.

This Little Bike Went To Market
At the Ottawa Farmers’ Market, Brewer Park, this Sunday, July 27 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Citizens for Safe Cycling is hosting a fun event. “This Little Bike Went to Market” is for anyone interested in learning how to transport market goodies, run errands, and carry their kids all on two-wheels.
50,000 bikes parked at BluesFest valet bike parking by Citizens for Safe Cycling
Today, Citizens for Safe Cycling and RBC Bluesfest volunteers parked their 50,000th bike since the valet service started in 2006 with a modest 1193 bikes parked. In 2013 the number had grown to 8632 bikes and not one was ever lost.
