Yes, we know. We’ve read that column in the Ottawa Citizen. We hate it too.
It’s just an example of the rhetoric we sometimes get online or when out and about on our bikes.
See a child biking on a sidewalk? Kids having fun riding on their quiet neighbourhood street? Teach them the rules of the road! Not possible? They shouldn’t be out.
Cyclists don’t pay for our roads. If they want bike lanes, they need to pay.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Think you’re alone supporting active transportation? You’re not! Be one of many to get your voices heard! Let your councillor know you support their active transportation initiatives. Ask for better any chance you get.
