Our Spring.Bike.Ottawa event is back on March 22, 2014. Why March 22, you ask. Because that is the first Saturday in Spring, which has become our traditional get together after the winter.
Now in its 3rd year, we’ll have speakers Sarah Partridge from Vanier Community Association and the City of Ottawa confirmed. As usual, the city will lay out the 2014 bike infrastructure plans.
Long time member, former president and Bluesfest Bike Parking hero Charles Akben-Marchand will give an overview on how to read the city budget, with a focus on cycling. Board member Kathleen Wilker will give a recap of the Winter Cycling Conference which took place in Winnipeg last month.
We also have a number of CfSC topics such as our advocacy group. And we might start to celebrate our 30th anniversary! Bottom line is, that people just enjoy getting together, have coffee and have a good time in a positive atmosphere. Our coffee break is the most popular item on the agenda!
