Bike Ottawa has been speaking out about the legislation that we anticipate will be tabled next week. Here are links to some of the interviews we have done.

Lots of others have been speaking out as well. We will share a round-up of the key messages soon.

Several councillors are organizing a bike rally ride at City Hall on Tuesday at 5 pm both to mourn the people recently killed and injured in our city and to voice opposition to Ford’s anti-cyclist bike lane law.

Another ride is planned for Saturday starting at 3:30 from Confederation Park, 100 Elgin St, Ottawa. Details to follow in a separate post.

And don’t forget to join us for the AGM at 5 pm, where we will have a panel speaking on the topic of “How does cycling contribute to healthy, liveable cities? It’s not just about bikes.” Obviously, safe cycling infrastructure plays an important role, so expect the legislation to come up again there.
