winter bike parade

Our 6th annual Winter Bike Parade takes place January 15th!

Join us for our sixth annual Winter Bike Parade! This event brings together Ottawa cyclists who don’t let winter get in the way of their transportation, and gives an opportunity to highlight the best of winter cycling infrastructure in Ottawa… as well as some areas where improvements are needed.

What: A casual ride (approximately 7km) followed by hot drinks, snacks, a panel on winter cycling featuring Ottawa City Councillors, and mingling.
When: Sunday, Jan. 15 from 10am-12:30pm
Where: Ride starts from City Hall (10am); refreshments and panel will follow in Councillors’ Lounge.

Please Register Online: The event is free and you don’t need to bring your tickets, but registering helps us plan for the number of people to expect.

The event will start with a casual ride (approximately 7km loop) from City Hall at 10am. Hot drinks and cookies will be available in the councillor’s lounge after the ride, as we listen to city councillors (lineup TBC) present on upcoming (winter) cycling infrastructure plans in their riding.

#ShowMeYourLane

Please also #ShowMeYourLane on Twitter and Facebook! Share a photo of your best and worst winter riding. Blocked paths or beautifully cleared MUPs – we want to see it all!

Don’t forget to register online if you plan to attend. We hope to see you on the 15th!
