Last Saturday, June 15, 2024, another important missing link in our Active Transportation network was opened to the public. We now have a wonderful new and very wide bike, walk and roll bridge across the Rideau River, connecting Carleton University with Vincent Massey Park and beyond.
Thanks to Cassie Smith, Councillor Jeff Lieper, and Bike Ottawa President Florence Lehmann, and all the parent volunteers and kids!
One of the most important things people who ride bikes can do is help build the case for cycling infrastructure by demonstrating through data that there is a need.
